By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement <br />for Services with Gilbane Building Company for project management services for the Veterans Memorial <br />Building/Senior Center for a not-to-exceed amount of $325,820, for a total not-to-exceed amount of <br />$4,644,258; and <br />2. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 6 to the Agreement <br />for Services with ELS Architecture and Urban Design for construction administration services for a not-to <br />exceed amount of $204,175, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $9,811,236. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Healthy Community for All <br />BACKGROUND <br />The new Veterans Memorial Building/Senior Center (the Project) is a significant initiative aimed at serving <br />the City’s senior population and honoring veterans. ELS Architecture and Urban Design (ELS) was hired to <br />provide architectural design and oversight, while Gilbane Building Company (Gilbane) was hired to <br />manage construction of the Project. <br />Conceptualized as a hub for community interaction, senior services, health services, recreational <br />activities, theater performance, and commemorative events, the Project reflects the City’s commitment <br />6.I. - Page 1 of 14 <br />147
