Contractor <br />shall include optional cost for disposal of sediment and sediment bags at an <br />appropriate legal location of Contractors’ choosing. The City reserves the right to <br />dispose of sediment at its own expense. Rates include the removal of 3 inches of <br />sediment, and a unit price for each additional inch of sediment if greater than 3 inches, <br />cost for sediment bags, overtime costs, and a safety plan. Contractor shall provide <br />equipment capable of cleaning and inspecting tanks, which shall consist of, but is not <br />limited to, the following: <br />•Two-way diver to surface communications. <br />•Complete underwater lighting system. <br />•Full-face mask and dry suit (chemical resistant). The diver shall be totally <br />isolated from the potable water. <br />•Equipment to disinfect diver and equipment before each dive. <br />•Equipment for cleaning potable water storage tank. <br />•Equipment shall be capable of removing flocculated material, silt, sediment, <br />sand and debris from the floor of the tank. <br />C. Post-Cleaning Inspection <br />Following the cleaning of the tanks, the Contractor shall provide a post-cleaning <br />inspection, noting new observations not previously recorded. Post-cleaning <br />inspection shall be considered a part of the scope of work in any tanks cleaned. No <br />separate payment shall be made for post-cleaning inspection. <br />D. Report <br />Following inspection and cleaning, Contractor shall prepare a written report. The <br />report shall contain color photographs from both the interior and exterior surfaces. <br />The report shall contain detailed recommendations for any safety, sanitary, or <br />rehabilitation requirements along with estimated costs. <br />The Contractor shall supply one (1) printed copy of the report, one (1) electronic copy <br />of the report in PDF format, copies of photographs (in high-resolution JPEG format), <br />and videos shall be provided on USB flash drives. Electronic video files shall be <br />playable on native Windows 10/11 based applications and shall not require the <br />installation of proprietary software to be viewed. Alternatively, photographs taken may <br />be provided on two (2) copies of CD, and the video inspection of tanks may be <br />provided as two (2) copies of DVDs. <br />All reports, photographs and videos shall become property of the Redwood City Public <br />Works Services Department. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025/Amend.
