Page 2 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />evaluations, initiating involuntary holds, referrals to additional services, follow-up visits, and support for <br />the involved individuals and their families. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The CWCRT program offers an alternative response to behavioral health-related incidents and is designed <br />to improve the outcomes of the individuals involved. It enhances the services offered by the Redwood <br />City Police Department by having a trained mental health clinician available to respond to crisis calls for <br />service, conduct follow-up visits when applicable, and provide regular training/guidance to members of <br />our department. It is recommended that the City Council approve the proposed Memorandum of <br />Understanding that continues the CWCRT program in Redwood City for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Per the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), each City will pay the County a not-to-exceed <br />amount of two hundred forty-nine thousand four hundred thirty-two Dollars ($249,432) for the <br />completion of all the work and services described. <br />Fig. 1: Program Costs <br />Community Wellness and Crisis Response Team Not-To-Exceed Amount per City <br />Reimbursed salary and benefit costs NTE $176,737 <br />Auto, Equipment, and Supplies NTE $3,700 <br />Operations and Administration NTE $68,995 <br />Total NTE $249,432 <br />City funding for this program was previously approved by Council on June 24, 2024 using one-time funds <br />through a year-end budget amendment of $250,000 for FY 2024-2025. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />6.F. - Page 2 of 20 <br />173
