<br />8 <br /> <br />x The employee has completed ten (10) years of service as a sworn peace officer, <br />with at least two (2) years with the City of Redwood City (years of service <br />need not be continuous). <br /> <br />The Police Sergeant-Advanced (Ten Year) (P602) and Police Lieutenant- <br />Advanced (Ten Year) (C314) salary ranges shall be set two and one-half percent <br />(2.5%) above the Police Sergeant (P601) and Police Lieutenant (C315) salary <br />ranges, respectively. <br /> <br />7.2.6 Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a successor <br />MOU in 2025, a Police Sergeant-Advanced (Ten-Year) (P602) shall be placed into <br />the Police Sergeant-Advanced (Fifteen-Year) classification (PXXX), and a Police <br />Lieutenant-Advanced (Ten-Year) (C314) shall be placed into the Police <br />Lieutenant-Advanced (Fifteen-Year) classification (CXXX) when the following <br />criteria are met: <br /> <br />x The employee maintains a current performance evaluation of meets or exceeds <br />standards; <br />x The employee possesses a valid Advanced Certification awarded by the <br />California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training; <br />x The employee has completed sixty (60) college semester credits of which <br />twenty-four (24) must be in the Administration of Justice, or in the alternative, <br />an employee who possesses an A.A. or higher degree from an accredited <br />institution of higher learning; and <br />x The employee has completed fifteen (15) years of service as a sworn peace <br />officer, with at least two (2) years with the City of Redwood City (years of <br />service need not be continuous). <br /> <br />The Police Sergeant-Advanced (Fifteen-year) (PXXX) salary range shall be set at <br />five percent (5%) above the Police Sergeant classification (P601) salary range. <br /> <br />The Police Lieutenant-Advanced (Fifteen-year) (CXXX) salary range shall be set <br />at five percent (5%) above the Police Lieutenant classification (C315) salary range. <br /> <br />7.2.6 In accordance with RCPSA MOU Section 7.5, 7.6, 7.9, and 7.10: <br /> <br /> Police Lieutenants will be eligible for the following incentives, if applicable: <br />o Education Incentive (2.5% - 7.5%) <br />o Bilingual Premium (2.5%-5% or 2.5% - 7.5% Police Officer top step <br />base pay, as described herein) <br /> <br /> Police Sergeants will be eligible for the following incentives, if applicable: <br />o Education Incentive (2.5% - 7.5%) <br />o Bilingual Premium (2.5%-5% or 2.5% - 7.5% Police Officer top step <br />base pay, as described herein) <br />o Shift Differential (5%) <br />o Specialty Incentive (5%) <br /> <br />7.3 Salary Increase on Promotion <br /> <br />6.H. - Page 16 of 72 <br />358
