<br />31 <br /> <br />contribution shall be adjusted annually by the CalPERS board to reflect any <br />change to the medical care component of the Consumer Price Index. <br /> <br />10.2 Cafeteria Plan <br /> <br />10.2.1 Available Benefits: The City shall maintain, in accordance with Section 125 of <br />the IRS Code a Cafeteria Plan for the purpose of providing employees access to <br />various health and welfare benefits. Benefits available through the Cafeteria <br />Plan include, but are not limited to: <br /> <br />A. Group Health Plan Medical Premiums <br />B. Flexible Spending Account for Dependent Care <br />C. Flexible Spending Account for Medical Expenses <br /> <br />10.2.2 City Contribution: Effective January 1, 2012, the City’s monthly contribution <br />for each eligible full-time employee enrolled in a City-provided medical plan, <br />the City will provide on a monthly basis for the purpose of providing minimum <br />essential coverage to employees and dependents, a Cafeteria Plan Allowance <br />equal to ninety percent (90%) of the premium of the health plan and level of <br />coverage selected by the employee, up to ninety percent (90%) of the CalPERS <br />Bay Area Kaiser Family Premium per employee, minus any costs incurred by <br />the City to maintain the Cafeteria Plan in compliance with IRS Code Section <br />125, and minus any costs incurred by the City to maintain the Health Benefits <br />Plans under Government code Section 22750, et. seq. Such costs include, but <br />are not limited to, surcharges, and/or administrative fees. <br /> <br />10.2.3 For employees covered by this MOU, this amount shall be prorated. (For <br />permanent part-time employees working twenty (20) or more hours per week <br />covered by this MOU this amount shall be prorated.) <br /> <br />10.2.4 In the event the above listed amount plus the city payment towards health benefit <br />plan premiums, specified in RCPSA MOU Sections 10.1.2, 10.2.2 and 10.2.3 <br />above, are insufficient to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the premiums <br />required of employees enrolled in any one of the Group health benefit plans, the <br />City shall make a payroll deduction from the employee’s pay to cover the <br />difference in cost. <br /> <br />10.2.5 The health benefit plans offered shall be those of the California Public <br />Employee's Retirement System (CalPERS) provided however, upon the request <br />of the City, the parties will re-open RCPSA MOU Section 10.2.5 to meet and <br />confer on modifying RCPSA MOU Section 10.2.5 to provide a different group <br />health plan. It is understood that any change from the group health plans offered <br />by the California Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS) will only be <br />made by mutual agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Police <br />Supervisors Association. <br /> <br />10.2.6 Retiree Health Coverage: For employees who have ten (10) or more years of <br />service and retire under the City's retirement plan within one hundred twenty <br />(120) days of separation from City employment, the retirement stipend paid by <br />the City shall be: <br /> <br />6.H. - Page 39 of 72 <br />381
