<br /> <br />00059814-1 <br /> 18 <br /> <br />16.5.2 An employee who is assigned to a shift consisting of more than eight (8) consecutive hours in <br />one (1) workday (exclusive of lunch period) shall be entitled to overtime after forty (40) hours in <br />paid status in one (1) work week. <br /> <br /> 16.5.3 All overtime must be authorized by the department head and documented on time cards. <br /> <br />16.5.4 Management Leave: Job classifications covered by this agreement, other than those listed in <br />Article 16.5.5, are Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Exempt. The parties acknowledge that as <br />FLSA exempt employees, unit members may be required to perform hours of work outside of <br />their regular work schedule. In recognition of that additional work, unit members may be eligible <br />to earn contractual overtimemanagement leave for hours worked outside of their regular work <br />schedule, up to the limits stated below. Employees in such classifications shall be paid <br />contractual overtime on a straight time basis or shall receive one (1) hour of management <br />leaveadministrative leave (Non-Accrued Vacation Leave [NAVL]) for each hour of contractual <br />overtime worked, up to a maximum of one hundred sixty (160) hours per calendar year. <br /> <br /> Effective January 1, 2019, employees who have worked forty (40) or more hours per year as <br />described above, in each of the two (2) prior, calendar years, Effective January 1, 2025 January <br />1, 2026, and January 1, 2027, employees in the following classifications shall be credited with <br />forty (40) hours of administrative leave (NAVL)management leave effective January 1st of each <br />calendar year: <br /> <br />Capital Improvement Program Manager <br />Custodial Services Supervisor <br />Environmental Initiatives Coordinator <br />Fleet Supervisor <br />Housing Leadership Manager <br />Landscape Architect <br />Library Division Manager <br />Management Analyst <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services Manager <br />Public Works Field Supervisor <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Recreation Supervisor <br />Senior Accountant <br />Utilities Field Supervisor <br /> <br />: Before earning additional administrative leave (NAVL) within the calendar year, the employee <br />must demonstrate that he or she has worked the forty (40) hours of time for which the employee <br />was credited on January 1st. <br />Employees may use these credited management hours immediately upon receipt. Employees <br />who receive frontloaded management leave must work forty (40) hours of contractual overtime in <br />the calendar year before they can earn additional management leave.
