At such time, employees in <br />the Tier 3 (PEPRA) pension plan will contribute 2.75% plus the full member <br />contribution of one-half (1/2) of the total normal cost for pension as the <br />employee member contribution to CalPERS. <br /> <br />4. Employee cost sharing of employer contributions shall not be credited to the <br />employee account at CalPERS and shall not be reimbursed to the contributor <br />by the City at any time for any reason. <br /> <br />5. The City shall pay the rate prescribed by the Public Employees’ Retirement <br />System for employer contributions to the Public Employees’ Retirement <br />System in accordance with the rules and regulations governing such employer <br />contributions. <br /> <br />6. All such employee contributions toward employer cost of retirement will be <br />made on a pre-tax basis to the extent permitted under the Internal Revenue <br />Service (IRS) regulations. Effective August 28, 2016, the City approved a <br />resolution addressing Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code as <br />permitted by law. <br /> <br />C. Deferred Compensation: Effective October 1, 2002, the City shall contribute an <br />amount equal to two percent (2%) of base monthly salary to a deferred <br />compensation plan offered by the City. Employees on no -pay status will have this <br />amount prorated based on total number of hours o f in-pay status during the pay <br />period. <br /> <br />VI. HOURS OF WORK <br />A. The regular workweek for employees assigned to full-time status shall be forty <br />(40) hours per week. The parties acknowledge that FLSA exempt employees may <br />be required to perform hours of work outside of their regular work schedule. <br /> <br />B. Work Period: The regular seven-day work period shall begin Monday morning at <br />12:01 a.m. and end Sunday night at 11:59 p.m. Regular full time employees will <br />usually be assigned to work five (5) consecutive days served in units of eight (8) <br />hours per day during the seven-day work period. For employees on alternate work <br />schedules, the regular work period shall consist of beginning and end times <br />determined in accordance with the employee’s regular schedule. <br /> <br />6.I. - Page 90 of 119 <br />504
