Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: March 10, 2025 <br />SUBJECT <br />Agreement for Services with Tetra Tech, Inc. for on-call Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) <br />system maintenance and troubleshooting <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an Agreement for Services for on-call <br />SCADA system maintenance and troubleshooting for a one-year term through 2026 in an amount not to <br />exceed $440,000, including City Manager authority to extend the agreement for two additional two-year <br />terms through 2030 for $919,996 and $976,024 each extension, for a total contract not-to-exceed amount <br />of $2,336,020. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City’s (City) Public Works Services Department (PWS) relies on a SCADA system to <br />oversee and manage the City's water, sewer, and stormwater utility infrastructure. The SCADA system is <br />essential for operations, offering real-time data and remote access to facilities and equipment spread <br />across various locations. <br />PWS operates approximately 70 facilities connected to the SCADA network, which includes a range of <br />hardware, software, and various motor control and instrumentation systems tailored specifically for the <br />City. Maintaining this network requires regular updates, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and <br />occasional emergency responses. <br />6.J. - Page 1 of 19 <br />534
