Policy <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager or their designee to execute the purchase of five <br />Toyota Prius LE, two Toyota RAV4 LE, and one Toyota Sienna LE from J E H Enterprises, Inc. dba San <br />Francisco Toyota in the amount of $283,183. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Redwood City's (“City”) Fleet Replacement Program is designed to evaluate vehicles and <br />equipment to replace them at the most economically advantageous point in their life cycle. At pre- <br />designated intervals, vehicles and equipment undergo a thorough evaluation of criteria, which includes, <br />but is not limited to, age, mileage, condition, maintenance history, downtime, anticipated future repairs, <br />usage, and vehicle capabilities. This routine evaluation helps maximize the operational efficiency of every <br />user department’s fleet. <br />The Public Works Services (“PWS”) Department’s Equipment Services Division (“Division”) will be <br />replacing eight vehicles across various City departments in 2025 that will be reaching the end of their <br />useful life. <br />The Division is looking to purchase the following vehicles with delivery expected in 2025: <br />6.L. - Page 1 of 17 <br />557
