[CFC <br />907.2.12 and Redwood City Code of Ordinances §12.23] [FIRE] <br /> <br />Fire – Ongoing Record Keeping <br />68. Fire Resistive Construction Maintenance and Repair Inventory. The fire resistance rating <br />of structural members, exterior walls, fire walls, fire barriers, fire partitions, horizontal <br />assemblies and shaft enclosures, and the smoke resistance of smoke barriers and partitions, <br />shall be maintained and repaired to equivalent fire or smoke resistance where damaged <br />during demolition or alteration. Annual visual inspection and repair records shall be <br />maintained. Annual inspections shall use the Compliance Engine software or successor <br />software specified by the Fire Marshall [FIRE] [CFC §701.2 and §701.6] <br /> <br />Construction-Related Activities <br />69. Verification for Dimensions – The Applicant shall provide a survey report, prepared by a <br />licensed surveyor, verifying site building location, setbacks, and building height, if <br />applicable, to the Building Division for review and approval prior to building permit <br />issuance. Survey report shall be kept on the project site throughout the course of <br />construction and be made available to the Building Inspector for all foundation forms and <br />footings inspections. Sales and Use Taxes – The Applicant shall register with the Board of Equalization to create <br />an ID prior to maximize the City’s allocation of sales and use taxes associated with project <br />construction. Contact the Finance Department at (650) 780-7213 to coordinate on this <br />process and requirements. [COA][FINANCE] <br />71. Hours of Construction – On-Site Construction activity is permitted between 7:00 a.m. and <br />8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except as permitted on weekends by the Building Official, <br />and shall adhere to the City’s Noise Ordinance. Schedule noisiest construction activities, as <br />identified under Section 24.30, on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. when ambient <br />noise levels are the highest. [SDR][BUILDING] <br />72. Construction Noise Reduction Measures – The Applicant is required to incorporate the <br />following construction noise reduction measures: <br />a. Control noise from construction workers' radios to the point where they are not <br />audible at existing residences that border the project site. <br />b. Equip all internal combustion engine-driven equipment with mufflers that are in good <br />condition and appropriate for the equipment. <br />c. Utilize quiet models of air compressors and other stationary noise sources where <br />technology exists. <br />d. Locate stationary noise-generating equipment as far as possible from sensitive <br />receptors when sensitive receptors adjoin or are near a construction project area. <br />e. Prohibit unnecessary idling of internal combustion engines.
