[CFC 907.2.12 and Redwood City Code of Ordinances §12.23] [FIRE] Fire – Ongoing Record Keeping 68. Fire Resistive Construction Maintenance and Repair Inventory. The fire resistance rating of structural members, exterior walls, fire walls, fire barriers, fire partitions, horizontal assemblies and shaft enclosures, and the smoke resistance of smoke barriers and partitions, shall be maintained and repaired to equivalent fire or smoke resistance where damaged during demolition or alteration. Annual visual inspection and repair records shall be maintained. Annual inspections shall use the Compliance Engine software or successor software specified by the Fire Marshall [FIRE] [CFC §701.2 and §701.6] Construction-Related Activities 69. Verification for Dimensions – The Applicant shall provide a survey report, prepared by a licensed surveyor, verifying site building location, setbacks, and building height, if applicable, to the Building Division for review and approval prior to building permit issuance. Survey report shall be kept on the project site throughout the course of construction and be made available to the Building Inspector for all foundation forms and footings inspections. Sales and Use Taxes – The Applicant shall register with the Board of Equalization to create an ID prior to maximize the City’s allocation of sales and use taxes associated with project construction. Hours of Construction – On-Site Construction activity is permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except as permitted on weekends by the Building Official, and shall adhere to the City’s Noise Ordinance. Schedule noisiest construction activities, as identified under Section 24.30, on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. when ambient noise levels are the highest. [SDR][BUILDING] 72. Construction Noise Reduction Measures – The Applicant is required to incorporate the following construction noise reduction measures: a. Control noise from construction workers' radios to the point where they are not audible at existing residences that border the project site. b. Equip all internal combustion engine-driven equipment with mufflers that are in good condition and appropriate for the equipment. c. Utilize quiet models of air compressors and other stationary noise sources where technology exists. d. Locate stationary noise-generating equipment as far as possible from sensitive receptors when sensitive receptors adjoin or are near a construction project area. e. Prohibit unnecessary idling of internal combustion engines.
