REV: 03-20-25 LF <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES, FEE, AND PROJECT SCHEDULE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall perform the scope of services described herein. <br />Consultant will conduct a site review, prepare detailed design drawings ready for construction, <br />and coordinate the development of associated specifications that relate to the scope of work and <br />cost estimates for the installation of seven (7) Level 2 Charging Stations (7.2kW), forty-eight (48) <br />DC dual-port chargers (40kW), eight (8) DCFC single-port chargers (60 kW) and eight (8) DCFC <br />single-port chargers (120kW) at the Redwood City Public Works Corporation Yard located at 1400 <br />Broadway St. Consultant will provide a 65% construction drawing (CD65) design, to facilitate the <br />City’s utility application; a preliminary construction drawing set (CD90) that will incorporate all <br />comments and changes; and a detailed design drawing set (CD100) issued for construction. <br />Consultant will also coordinate with the City to define and develop technical specifications to <br />support the drawing set. <br />TASK 0: PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br />The Project Management Team, led by Consultant Project Manager (PM), will provide overall <br />project management, meeting coordination, site walk coordination and progress reporting. Cost <br />controls include preparation of milestone invoices and cost forecasting. Consultant PM will work <br />with the assigned City PM and team through the duration of the project. The key project <br />management activities are described in the tasks below. <br />TASK 1: PRELIMINARY DESIGN STAGE <br />1.1 Project Kickoff. Attend a virtual kick-off meeting with City staff to align on project <br />objectives, timeline and points of contact. The meeting duration is assumed to be one <br />(1) hour. Attendees include City staff, Consultant’s Project Manager (PM), and <br />Consultant’s Engineering. Thereafter, virtual project update meetings following the <br />kickoff will occur bi-weekly with Consultant’s PM and the City’s core project team to <br />review progress against the project schedule, review designs in progress and <br />facilitate action items. Consultant’s Engineering will be expected to attend based on <br />project need. This schedule assumes nine (9) meetings of thirty (30) minute duration. <br />Consultant’s Estimating staff may join calls when the Rough Order of Magnitude <br />(ROM) estimate is being presented and discussed. The budget for Consultant’s <br />Engineering staff to attend meetings is included in the overall project hours. Project <br />update meetings will be replaced by presentations of key deliverables (CD65, CD90, <br />CD100). Consultant will prepare monthly progress reports for the City that include a <br />summary of the main accomplishments over the previous month, including efforts <br />conducted and outstanding items needed from the City or other parties. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.050/Black & Veatch (EVSE Consulting and Engineering) (Page 11 of 23)
