REV: 09-12-24 LF his or her tenure, or for one year thereafter, will have any interest, direct or indirect, in this Agreement or a related subcontract, or the proceeds thereof. For purposes of this Section, covered persons include any person who is an employee, agent, consultant, officer, or elected or appointed official of the City or Contractor. Contractor will incorporate in all subcontracts hereunder a provision prohibiting such interest. 19. LOBBYING PROHIBITED. Funds provided under this Agreement will not be used by Contractor for publicity or propaganda purposes designed to support or defeat legislation pending before federal, state, or local government. 20. INHERENTLY RELIGIOUS ACTIVITY PROHIBITED. There will be no religious worship, instruction or proselytizing as part of the Program or services funded under this Agreement. The following restrictions and limitations shall apply to the services rendered by Contractor in connection with the terms of this Agreement: (a) Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of religion and will not limit employment or give preference in employment to persons on the basis of religion; and (b) Contractor will provide no religious instruction or counseling, conduct no religious worship or services, engage in no religious proselytizing, and exert no other religious influence related to the Program. 21. UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS. Contractor will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements. 22. COMPLIANCE WITH CALIFORNIA LABOR LAWS AND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS. The Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended, the provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (40 U.S.C. 327 et seq.) and all other applicable Federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards insofar as those acts apply to the performance of this Agreement. Contractor agrees to comply with the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act (18 U.S.C. 874 et seq.) and it’s implementing regulations of the U.S. Department of Labor at 29 CFR Part 5. A paragraph shall be incorporated in every agreement between Contractor and third parties in connection to the Program stating that the third party must comply with California Labor Laws and applicable Federal requirements. Contractor shall maintain documentation that demonstrates compliance with hour and wage requirements of this part. Such documentation shall be made available to the City for review upon request. 23. GENERAL COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS. Contractor will keep fully informed of federal, state and local laws and ordinances and regulations which in any manner affect those employed by Contractor, or in any way affect the Program by Contractor.
