CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Martínez Saballos called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL - Council Members Chu, Gee, Howard, Padilla, Sturken, Vice Mayor Eakin and <br />Mayor Martínez Saballos. <br /> <br />Staff present: City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz, City Attorney Veronica Ramirez and City <br />Clerk Yessika Castro. <br /> <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Vice Mayor Eakin led the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br />4. PRESENTATIONS/ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS <br /> <br /> Mayor Martínez Saballos announced that February is American Heart Month, a federally <br />recognized event that encourages Americans to focus on their heart health and get their families, <br />friends and communities involved. The Council issued a proclamation earlier this month to the <br />American Heart Association, which happens to be celebrating 100 years of honoring their mission <br />and work to save lives from heart disease and stroke. <br /> <br /> 4.A. Recognition of winners of Water Conservation Poster Contest <br />Mayor Martínez Saballos and Public Works Utilities Field Supervisor Nate Anderson gave <br />an overview of the contest and presented awards certificates to the winners. <br /> <br /> 4.B. HIP Housing Presentation <br />HIP Housing Board Member and former Redwood City Mayor Ian Bain gave an overview <br />of the organization’s recent work and previewed their annual calendar. <br /> <br />
