From:Justin Rodgers
To:publiccomment
Subject:Request to Establish a Residential Parking Permit Zone Near 112 Vera Avenue
Date:Monday, April 28, 2025 11:35:00 AM
You don't often get email from jlrodgers42@gmail.com. Learn why this is important
Dear City Council Members, Planning Division, City Manager, and Public Works
Department,
As a resident of East Roosevelt near Adams Street and Lincoln Avenue, I am writing to
express my concern about the parking impacts from the new 178-unit development at 112
Vera Avenue.
Our neighborhood already struggles with limited parking, and adding such a large
development with minimal on-site parking will make the situation even worse for current and
future residents.
I respectfully urge the City to:
• Create a Residential Parking Permit Program for the surrounding streets
• Conduct a new parking and traffic impact study in this area
• Implement protections for existing residents before the new building opens
While I support affordable housing, thoughtful planning is needed to protect the livability of
our neighborhood.
Thank you for considering the needs of our community,
Justin Rodgers
