Task 6 Deliverables: Prior to performing the test, Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City the site-specific standard cross-connection shutdown test plan After performing the test, Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City the cross-connection test report Task 6 Schedule: Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City: o Test results report within two days of the cross-connection test Task 7 – Perform annual recycled water inspections at recycled water sites Consultant shall perform this task with an AWWA-certified Cross Connection Control Specialist. Consultant will conduct annual recycled water inspections at recycled water irrigation, industrial, and dual-plumbed sites to verify compliance with the City and SWRCB requirements as follows: Scheduling Consultant will contact the site supervisor to schedule the annual inspection. Annual Inspection Consultant’s inspections will include, at a minimum, a visual inspection of all backflow prevention assemblies, exposed piping, valves, pressure reducing valves, sprinklers, controllers, signs, labels, tags, equipment, pumps, valve lock seals, and all points of connection. Consultant will observe the recycled water system to assess if modifications have been made (e.g., new mainline, valves, etc.). If minor system changes are observed during the site visits, the Consultant will note the changes on the inspection report. If major system changes are observed, the Consultant will require a construction change to be submitted by the owner to the City for re-review and re-approval. Consultant will provide the site supervisor an inspection punch list to document items that need to be corrected. Coverage Test For recycled water irrigation sites, Consultant shall conduct a coverage test to verify the proper operation of the irrigation system. It is anticipated that the customer’s landscape company will run the irrigation stations for up to two minutes. One-way Cross Connection Test For recycled water irrigation and industrial sites, Consultant shall conduct a one-way cross connection shutdown test to verify that the recycled water system is not interconnected with the potable water system.
