REV: 02-27-25 LF After performing the test, Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City the cross-connection test report Task 5 Schedule: Consultant shall submit electronically in PDF format to the City: o Test results report within two days of the cross-connection test Task 6 - Plan and perform standard shutdown cross connection tests Consultant shall perform this task with an AWWA-certified Cross Connection Control Specialist. The standard cross-connection shutdown test must follow the approved test plan. The standard cross-connection shutdown test is usually performed by a Specialist hired by the customer in the presence of the site supervisor and a City’s representative. If directed by the City, Consultant can represent the City during a standard cross-connection shutdown test or conduct that test. Prior to performing the standard cross-connection shutdown test, Consultant shall develop a site-specific cross connection shutdown test plan. After developing the test plan, Consultant shall send the plan to the City for review. If the test plan is included with an Engineering Report submittal for a dual-plumbed project, the City will send the test plan to the SWRCB for their review and approval. Consultant must receive approval from the City (for irrigation or industrial projects) or from the SWRCB (for dual-plumbed projects) prior to performing the test. The standard cross-connection shutdown test is a visual test where the presence and absence of flow in both the potable water and the recycled water is observed. This test must be conducted with all facilities fully operational. Consultant shall receive approval through a test plan as described above for exact procedures for the site prior to conducting each test. The test, in general, will involve: The pressurization of the potable water system and de-pressurization of the recycled water system. The flow verification from the potable water outlets and the absence of flow from the recycled water system outlets. The pressurization of the recycled water system and de-pressurization of the potable water system. The flow verification from the recycled water outlets and the absence of flow from the potable water system outlets. At the end of the test, Consultant will review the customer’s Specialist cross-connection test form for accuracy and completeness and will provide a copy to the City. For Task 6 overall, If Consultant waits one hour with no response and no show from the site representative for a scheduled cross connection test, Consultant may charge a ATTY/AGR.2025.032/West Yost & Associates, Inc.
