REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />ADVANCED CONTROLS - IQAN MOTION CONTROL SYSTEM <br />The ladder, outrigger system and interlock systems shall be controlled with the computer operated <br />and monitored hydraulic motion control system. The motion control system shall provide state of <br />the art controls for the ladder, outriggers, and interlock systems as required. The motion control <br />system must be an electro-hydraulic management system that monitors operator inputs from the <br />control station(s) and converts this data to a usable electronic signal that controls hydraulic valve <br />functions. <br />The turntable control station shall be equipped with an IQAN MD4-10 Display. The display shall <br />be completely weatherproof, shock resistant, and include an LCD touchscreen. The display shall <br />contain programmed parameters for each aerial device function, which provide for proper <br />machine operation and reduce the possibility of abusive operation. The CAN-bus modules shall <br />be attached to each other using just two communication wires. <br /> Each component of the IQAN motion control system shall be proven, off the shelf modules and <br />parts, which are available throughout the world. The display will have built-in troubleshooting and <br />shall allow troubleshooting and error history monitoring for the entire motion control system. The <br />IQAN motion control system shall receive rotation information from an absolute encoder. The <br />encoder shall provide absolute position of the turntable at any given position from 0 degrees to <br />360 degrees of rotation. <br />The display shall allow the system to be diagnosed and calibrated without the need for separate <br />controllers or computers.   <br />The turntable display shall indicate the following information from on-screen: <br /> <br />•Hydraulic pump pressure. <br />•Elevation angle of the ladder. <br />•Continuous ladder extension in feet. <br />•Degrees of rotation from the centerline of the vehicle. <br />•E-ZONE Avoidance warning. <br />•Short Jack warning. <br />•Cradle alignment indicator. <br />•Rung alignment indicator. <br />•Warning messages to alert the operator to potentially unsafe conditions or errors. <br />•Aerial waterway flow and pressure (if applicable). <br />•A live load chart showing the current deployment of the apparatus and the <br />corresponding allowed ladder loading. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 139 of 150)
