REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />The system shall be connected to the crash detection sensor that will also activate the driver and <br />first officer integrated belt pretensioners if it detects a frontal crash. <br />A RollTek™ rollover occupant protection system shall be installed in the apparatus cab. The <br />system shall include an integrated roll sensor (IRS) master module and a slave sensor in <br />applicable configurations. <br />The IRS shall be a microprocessor-controlled solid-state sensing device that utilizes vehicle- <br />specific calibrations to detect rollovers. The IRS shall be equipped with pyrotechnic loops for <br />connection to the protective countermeasures which shall include seat integrated side roll airbags <br />(SRA), integrated seat belt pretensioners, and air seat pull-downs (S4S), in applicable occupant <br />seat positions. <br />The IRS shall continuously monitor the truck`s acceleration and angle, and upon detection of an <br />imminent roll-over, shall activate protective countermeasures in a pre-programmed sequence. In <br />addition, the IRS shall also act as a data recorder to record crash events for post-crash evaluation. <br />CAB FRONT FASCIA <br />The front cab fascia shall be constructed of 5052-H32 Marine Grade, 0.13 of an inch thick <br />aluminum plate which shall be an integral part of the cab. <br />The cab fascia will encompass the entire front of the aluminum cab structure from the bottom of <br />the windshield to the bottom of the cab and shall be the “Classic” design. <br /> <br />The front cab fascia shall include two (2) molded plastic modules on each side accommodating <br />a total of up to four (4) Hi/Low beam headlights and two (2) turn signal lights or up to four (4) <br />warning lights. A chrome plated molded plastic bezel shall be provided on each side around <br />each set of four lamps. <br />FRONT GRILLE <br />The front cab fascia shall include a classic box style, 304 stainless steel front grille. The grille shall <br />measure 55.45 wide X 33.50 inches high X 1.50 inches deep. The upper portion of the grille shall <br />be hinged to provide service access behind the grille. The grille shall include a minimum free air <br />intake of 750.00 square inches. <br />CAB UNDERCOAT <br />There shall be undercoating applied to the underside of the cab which provides an abrasion <br />resistant coating for protection against corrosion caused by moisture, salt, alkalis and galvanic <br />reaction. <br />CAB SIDE DRIP RAIL <br />There shall be a drip rail along the top radius of each cab side.
