REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />MID EMS COMPARTMENT EXTERIOR FINISH <br />The mid EMS compartment surfaces that are exposed to the interior of the cab shall be painted <br />with a multi-tone onyx black texture finish. <br />MID EMS COMPARTMENT INTERIOR FINISH <br />The interior of the mid EMS compartment shall be painted with a multi-tone onyx black texture <br />finish. <br />CAB STRUCTURAL WARRANTY <br />City shall receive a Cab Structure (Aluminum) Ten (10) Years or 100,000 Miles limited warranty <br />in accordance with, and subject to, warranty certificate RFW0602. The warranty certificate is <br />incorporated by reference into this Agreement. <br />CAB TEST INFORMATION <br />The cab shall have successfully completed the preload side impact, static roof load application <br />and frontal impact without encroachment to the occupant survival space when tested in <br />accordance with Section 4 of SAE J2420 COE Frontal Strength Evaluation Dynamic Loading <br />Heavy Trucks, Section 5 of SAE J2422 Cab Roof Strength Evaluation Quasi –Static Loading <br />Heavy Trucks and ECE R29 Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with regard <br />to the Protection of the Occupants of the Cab of a Commercial Vehicles Annex 3 Paragraph 5. <br />The above tests have been witnessed by and attested to by an independent third party. The test <br />results were recorded using cameras, high speed imagers, accelerometers and strain gauges. <br />Documentation of the testing shall be provided upon request. <br />ELECTRICAL SYSTEM <br />The chassis shall include a single starting electrical system which shall include a 12-volt direct <br />current multiplexing system, suppressed per SAE J551. The wiring shall be appropriate gauge <br />cross link with 311 degree Fahrenheit insulation. All SAE wires in the chassis shall be color coded <br />and shall include the circuit number and function where possible. The wiring shall be protected <br />by 275 degree Fahrenheit minimum high temperature flame retardant loom. All nodes and sealed <br />Deutsch connectors shall be waterproof. <br />OEM WIRING <br />A custom wiring interface and harness shall be provided and designed to meet the requirements <br />provided by the OEM for a tractor drawn aerial (TDA). This shall include the following <br />circuits/features: <br />•Aerial PTO override SPST guarded toggle switch located in the driver’s diagnostic panel <br />and labeled “Aerial PTO Override”. When activated, the switch will override standard PTO <br />interlocks and supply direct power to the aerial PTO solenoid for emergency activation. <br />•Remote engine start circuit shall be provided to activate the engine starter solenoid from <br />the aerial apparatus and shall utilize existing cab starter interlocks.
