REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LUBRICATION <br />The rear axle differential shall be lubricated with oil. <br />REAR AXLE WARRANTY <br />The rear axle shall be warranted by Meritor for five (5) years with unlimited miles under the general <br />service application. Details of the Meritor warranty are provided on the PDF document attached <br />to this option. <br />REAR WHEEL BEARING LUBRICATION <br /> <br />The rear axle wheel bearings shall be lubricated with oil. <br />VEHICLE TOP SPEED <br />The top speed of the vehicle shall be approximately 60 MPH +/-2 MPH at governed engine RPM. <br />REAR SUSPENSION <br />The single rear axle shall feature a Hendrickson Firemaax™ air suspension. The suspension shall <br />include two optimized air springs mounted to cast structural trailing arms, a transverse cross beam <br />for increased roll stability and two heavy duty shock absorbers. Dual air height control valves shall <br />be installed to ensure equal frame height on both sides of the vehicle regardless of the load. Axle <br />alignment is maintained using two eccentric bushings at each frame bracket. <br />The rear suspension capacity shall be rated at 31,000 pounds. <br />REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS <br />Shock absorbers shall be supplied by the suspension manufacturer and installed on the rear axle <br />suspension. <br />TIRE INTERMITTENT SERVICE RATING <br />The chassis shall be rated using Intermittent Service ratings provided to the emergency vehicle <br />market by the tire manufacturers as the basis for determining the maximum vehicle load and <br />speed. <br />FRONT TIRES <br />The front tires shall be Goodyear 425/65R-22.5 load range L tubeless radial Armor Max MSA <br />mixed service tread. <br />The front tire stamped load capacity shall be 22,800 pounds per axle with a nominal speed rating <br />of 68 miles per hour when properly inflated to 120 pounds per square inch. <br />The Goodyear Intermittent Service Rating maximum load capacity shall be 24,400 pounds per <br />axle with a speed rating of 68 miles per hour when properly inflated to 120 pounds per square <br />inch. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 43 of 150)
