REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />COMPARTMENT DRAINS <br />Two (2) .50” diameter drain holes shall be provided in all exterior apparatus compartments. Drains <br />shall be protected from dust, dirt, and moisture by the stiffener channel on the underside of the <br />compartment. <br />COMPARTMENT VENTILATION <br />To allow for proper air circulation & flow, each compartment shall have a venting route. The <br />venting locations shall be determined by best-fit for each body configuration. Louvered plate vents <br />shall be installed appropriately on the compartment interior walls. <br />TRACTOR BODY COMPARTMENTATION <br />Compartments “TL1/TR1” shall be provided behind the tractor cab, ahead of the turntable access <br />steps, on each side of the apparatus. The minimum compartment dimensions shall be 42.75” wide <br />x 54.00” high x 20.00” deep. The minimum door opening on each side of the apparatus shall be <br />40.00” wide x 51.75” high. <br />NOTE: The TL1/TR1 compartment shall be modified as needed to accommodate the exact <br />dimensional requirements of the engine and emissions systems at the time of production. <br />Modifications to include but shall not be limited to the lower back wall and floor area of the TR1 <br />compartment and/or the depth of one or both compartments on each side of the tractor. <br />LOCKING ROLL-UP DOOR CONSTRUCTION <br />The Tractor Compartment doors shall be locking roll-up style doors. <br />Door locks shall be keyed #1250. <br />FWD COMPARTMENT DOOR FINISH <br />The forward body compartment door, track and trim shall be wet painted to match the apparatus <br />body color as provided by the door manufacturer. <br />ROLL-UP DOOR PROTECTORS <br />There shall be a protective cover, as provided by the door manufacturer, installed under each <br />forward compartment door roll to protect the door in the rolled up position. <br />ROLL-UP DOOR PROTECTOR FINISH <br />The roll-up door protector shall be left Natural finish. <br />DOOR OPEN INDICATOR <br />Each roll up door shall have an integral door open indicator magnet in the lift bar. <br />If the door is not properly closed and the transmission is placed into drive or reverse mode with <br />the parking brake released, it shall activate the “hazard light” in the cab to alert the crew. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 90 of 150)
