REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />COMPARTMENT FINISH COLOR <br />The Line-X Color shall be Medium Gray. <br />UNDERCOATING <br />The underside of the apparatus body shall be cleaned and prepared for the application of a <br />sprayed on automotive type undercoating for added corrosion resistance. <br />The undercoating is to be of a quick dry rubberized, solvent based coating that is (black) in color. <br />Resists rust and abrasion as it seals out dust and moisture. <br />The application does not include any additional underbody components. <br />RAW ALUMINUM REAR OVERLAY <br />The lower rear face of the trailer body below the ground ladder storage area shall be provided <br />with a raw aluminum overlay installed for the application of chevron striping. <br />All overlay materials shall be coated with 3M adhesive sealant on the back portion to provide an <br />insulating barrier between dissimilar metals. <br />COMPARTMENT TOP OVERLAYS <br />The compartment top overlays shall be constructed from non-slip .125 inch embossed aluminum <br />diamond plate material. <br />BODY ROOF COVER <br />The roof of the body shall be overlaid with embossed aluminum diamond plate material. <br />AERIAL BODY MOUNTING SYSTEM <br />The complete apparatus body shall be modular in construction and built separately from the <br />chassis. The apparatus body shall be mounted to the chassis framework. The body shall be <br />combination bolted and welded to hangers to reduce fatigue of the body material in mounting <br />locations. <br />Rubber isolators, of a specific durometer to carry the necessary loads of the apparatus body, shall <br />be provided at various points where needed to help reduce vibration and minimize the stress <br />absorbed by the body caused from chassis frame rail flexing. <br />BODY STRUCTURE WIDTH <br />The width of the apparatus body from the outside of the left compartments to the outside of the <br />right compartments shall be 96” excluding any attached peripherals such as rub rails, fenderettes, <br />grab handles, etc. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 89 of 150)
