REV: 04-29-25 LF The lighting in each compartment shall be on a separate circuit, and only illuminate when the compartment doors are open. Two (2) ROM LED strip lights shall be installed in two (2) mid height compartment(s). Two (2) ROM LED strip lights shall be installed in two (2) low side compartment(s). Two (2) ROM LED strip lights shall be installed in ten (10) full height compartment(s). Two (2) ROM LED strip lights shall be installed in the rear ladder compartment. FLUSH FLAT BACK The rear of the apparatus shall be equipped with a flush back construction with no tailboard extension. The rear body shall be constructed such that the angle of departure shall be no less than 8 degrees at the rear of the apparatus when fully loaded. WHEEL WELLS The trailer body wheel wells shall have semicircular black polymer composite inner liners that are bolted to the wheel well panel and supported inboard by brackets that are connected to the body framework. Each wheel well shall be a continuous piece with no breaks or ledges where road grime or debris may accumulate. This liner shall be removable for access to suspension assembly for repairs. There shall be no exception to the bolted wheel well inner liner requirement. The tractor drive axle shall be provided with a radiused wheel well fabricated of embossed aluminum diamond plate. TRACTOR STRUCTURE & WHEEL WELL PANELS The vertical body panels on the rear tractor structure and the area around the wheel well on each side of the tractor body shall be fabricated of aluminum diamond plate. The horizontal surfaces and areas designated as stepping surfaces shall be constructed from embossed aluminum diamond plate. The rear tractor structure shall be mitre cut to provide increased clearance between the tractor structure and the trailer when turning. FUEL FILL ASSEMBLY There shall be a fuel fill assembly located on the tractor structure accessing the chassis supplied fuel tank. The assembly shall be located in the area that best suits efficient fuel filling with the space appropriated on the left side of the apparatus. The fuel fill assembly will have a drain to allow over flow to drain on the back side of the tractor structure. The fuel fill cap shall be removable, manufactured of plastic materials, green in color. The fuel fill cap shall be labeled “DIESEL FUEL”.
