The total cost includes all material, labor, and equipment to assess, fabricate, and install the <br />devices. Staff recommends awarding the agreement to United Storm Water, Inc. as the lowest responsive <br />and responsible bidder, and approving and authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with <br />United Storm Water, Inc. for a total amount not to exceed $280,209 and authorizing the City Manager or <br />their designee to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 20% of the amount awarded in an <br />amount not to exceed $56,042 for a total amount of $336,251. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The amount of $280,209 is available in the Capital Improvement Program budget and in various <br />stormwater operating budgets. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This project meets the CEQA exemption criteria as set forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Class 2 – <br />Replacement of Reconstruction) in that it involves minor alteration of existing City Facilities with negligible <br />or no expansion of an existing use. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may elect not to award the agreement to United Storm Water, Inc. and direct staff to <br />pursue alternative solutions for completing the project. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None. <br />REPORT PREPARED BY: <br />Kloe Yap, Contract Management Analyst I <br />kyap@redwoodcity.org <br />(650) 780-5780 <br />6.G. - Page 3 of 4 <br />66
