The City Attorney recommends that the City Council approve <br />the Legal Services Agreement with Meyers Nave for services related to the Redwood Life Evolve Project, <br />which will exceed $100,000. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The legal services provided for under the Agreement with Meyers Nave for work on the Redwood Life <br />Evolve Project are cost-recovery and will be paid by developers. A FY 2024-25 year-end budget <br />amendment will be requested for the additional revenue and expenditures associated with this <br />agreement. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Do not approve and provide different direction to the City Attorney’s Office. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />None. <br />6.J. - Page 2 of 3 <br />81
