City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Fund (DAF) for the grant period of May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2027. There is a continued need for the Human
Services Coordinator position at the Fair Oaks Community Center through at least December 31, 2025,
and the grant will support continued funding of that position for this period. In addition, the City is
considering using additional funds from the SVCF grant funds to support the continuation of the Dignity
on Wheels service, at a service level to be determined, to provide mobile showers and laundry for
unhoused residents. Without additional funding, the Dignity on Wheels services at the Fair Oaks
Community Center and Downtown Library will end on June 30, 2025.
EQUITY IMPACT STATEMENT
Equity and/or inclusion was considered in development or implementation of item through the
following:
ď‚·Assessment of benefits and burdens by race, income, age, gender, citizenship status, or other
identity
FISCAL IMPACT
Revenue and expenditures from the $200,000 grant will be included with a mid-year budget amendment
for FY 2025-26 and in the Recommended Budget for FY 2026-27.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council could choose not to approve the agreement and not accept funding from Silicon Valley
Community Foundation for the general operations of the Fair Oaks Community Center. Without these
additional funds, the City would need to fully fund the Human Services Coordinator Contract position with
other funds or discontinue the contract, as well as allowing the Dignity on Wheels service to sunset.
6.M. - Page 2 of 9
150
