Annual Action Plan <br /> <br />7 <br />OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 09/30/2021) <br />The work of community development and affordable housing is a year-round process that <br />involves many stakeholders. Redwood City stays in regular contact with a variety of <br />stakeholders throughout the year to help with that work. The contact includes stakeholder <br />participation in various public meetings and/or meetings involved with other local development <br />or neighborhood plans. City staff also stay in regular conversations with subrecipients and <br />potential applicants on the progress of their programs, demand for their programs and other <br />needs they are seeing on the front lines of affordable housing and community development. <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City also reached out to community stakeholders for various data and <br />information resources. Information and data resources include updates to strategies to address <br />homelessness, public housing initiatives and other affordable housing projects within the <br />community pipeline. <br /> <br />Public Hearings & Meetings: <br /> <br />The Housing & Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) was appointed by the City Council and one <br />of their primary roles is to carry out the processes mandated for the use and distribution of <br />federal funds outlined in the City’s Community Participation Plan. The HHCC held a public <br />meeting on February 25, 2025, where CDBG and HOME applicants gave presentations and <br />answered questions and a pre-draft funding deliberations public hearing on March 25, 2025. <br />The City Council hosted a public hearing to approve the Action Plan on June 9, 2025. Final <br />comments from the public during that meeting will be included in the final draft. <br /> <br />5. Summary of public comments <br /> <br />The Action Plan public review period began April 7, 2025, and continued to June 9, 2025. The <br />City will receive public comments prior and during the June 9th public meetings for the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />6. Summary of comments or views not accepted and the reasons for not accepting them <br /> <br />The City has received and accepted all comments from the community on the PY 2025 Action <br />Plan. <br /> <br />7. Summary <br />The City of Redwood City will receive $654,563 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />funding and $234,678.70 of HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funding in PY <br />7.A. - Page 15 of 189 <br />219
