Summary of citizen participation process/Efforts made to broaden citizen participation <br />Summarize citizen participation process and how it impacted goal-setting <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City and its City Council followed its Community Participation Plan to develop the PY 2025 Action Plan. The <br />public input process involved holding several public meetings and one pre-draft public hearing before the City Council public hearing <br />and approval the PY 2025 Action Plan. All meetings were available in a hybrid format, with ways for residents to attend either in <br />person or virtually. <br /> <br />The Housing & Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) was appointed by the City Council and one of their primary roles is to carry out <br />the processes mandated for the use and distribution of federal funds outlined in the City’s Community Participation Plan. The HHCC <br />held a public meeting on February 25, 2025, where CDBG and HOME applicants gave presentations and answered questions and a <br />pre-draft funding deliberations public hearing on March 25, 2025 where the committee made formal funding recommendations for <br />CDBG and HOME applications. <br /> <br />The City Council will hold a public hearing to approve the Action Plan on June 9, 2025. Final comments from the public during that <br />meeting will be included in the final draft. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.A. - Page 36 of 189 <br />240
