Annual Action Plan 76 <br />OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 09/30/2021) <br />training, healthcare and food banks. <br />x Continue to work with local agencies to identify barriers and issues related to poverty <br />and support programs that will help low to moderate-income households overcome <br />those barriers. <br />x The City will continue to work with the CoC to implement their work plan to end <br />homelessness. <br />x The City will continue to fund the Redwood Family House with General Fund dollars to <br />provide shelter, transitional housing and support services to help families become self- <br />sufficient. <br />Actions planned to develop institutional structure <br />The City is a strong leader and participant in the development and ongoing support of various <br />programs and initiatives constituting the delivery system. These strengths include extensive <br />efforts to involve the community in identifying needs and trends, collaborative efforts with <br />other jurisdictions to address regional issues, close working relationships with nonprofit <br />organizations, and support of the nonprofit sector in their important role in the overall health <br />and strength of the community. Overcoming the experience gaps of each group requires <br />cooperation with other agencies or groups who have the necessary experience. Public and <br />private agencies in San Mateo County have and continue to work well together to combine <br />experience and resources in order to bring projects to fruition. <br />In addition, the City participates in monthly cohort meetings with other participating <br />jurisdictions in San Mateo County. The cohort recently began utilizing Microsoft SharePoint to <br />share policies, procedures, and forms that can be used across all the communities’ programs. <br />The cohort also uses SharePoint to coordinate and collaborate on joint monitoring efforts <br />through the Joint Monitoring MOU. The goal of the shared virtual office is to improve <br />compliance across all cohort programs as well as simplify processes for subrecipients. <br />Additionally, the City participates in 21 Elements, a planning and housing collaborative effort <br />between all 21 jurisdictions in San Mateo County. 21 Elements provides an opportunity to <br />conduct joint studies, trainings, and community engagement efforts and share resources and <br />best practices. In PY 2025, the City will continue to participate in 21 Elements’ housing <br />managers working group that is working to improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of <br />affordable housing programs and policies countywide.
