6
Searching for affordable housing in the Bay Area is much harder than it should be.
Resources are spread across many places, requiring a lot of search time for
applicants. Additionally, applications are often long and paper based, with
inconsistent requirements across properties. Housing seekers also face unclear
eligibility requirements and opaque placement processes.

The Doorway Housing Portal is a project of the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority
(BAHFA) to provide a simple and equitable way for residents to find and apply for
affordable housing in the Bay Area, and builds a shared technology platform with
transparent processes from marketing to move-in. The Portal helps people, housing
providers and local governments, and provides critical data to shape policy and
attract more housing resources. To view and sign up for affordable housing
opportunities through Doorway, visit housingbayarea.org.

HIP HOUSING HOMESHARING
Your spare room can change a life

HIP Housing's Home Sharing program helps match individuals seeking
housing with people who have a room to rent. Most HIP Housing
Home Providers have a room to rent in their residence (e.g., home,
apartment) and some have an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU).

If you are seeking a home, can provide a home, or want more
information, please visit HIPHousing.org or call (650) 348-6660.

HOUSING NOTIFICATIONS
Sign-up for email notifications for affordable housing opportunities!

You will be notified about opportunities to apply for below market rate/affordable
housing units for rent and/or for sale within new developments currently under
construction, recently completed projects or other affordable housing units. You will
be notified when the developer begins marketing the affordable units and accepting
applications. You will need to submit an application directly to the property
management company of the property you are interested in as the City does not accept
applications.

This is a notification list only and NOT a waitlist.

7.A. - Page 139 of 189
343
