7B <br /> Page 21 <br /> SEC710N 3: APPLlCAT14N PROCESS <br /> A. Applicants must complete the Courthouse Square Event App�ication and rovide <br /> the non-refundable Application Fee. The applicafiian is considered a req est for <br /> permit on(y; submission does not mean that the event has been approved. <br /> B. Depending on the extent of the proposed event, the apptication may be reviewed <br /> by C�ty departments that may be invalved in permitting and/or supportin the <br /> event. The appfication will be reviewed by fihe Courthouse Square Fvent Team <br /> #o determine required conditions, the scope and estimated cost of Ci#y support <br /> serv�ces, and required perrnits. The Courthouse Square Event Team is <br /> comprised of representatives of City departments, including, but not limited to the <br /> following: City Manager's Office, Parks and Recreation, P�anning, Housin and <br /> Economic Development, Police, Fire and Finance. g <br /> C. The City will notify the Applican# in writing that the application is pre#iminaril <br /> approved subJect to receipt of the Permit Fee and the refundable Cieaning and <br /> Damage Deposit. <br /> D. A Courthouse Square Event Permit will be issued for #he Permittee's si nature <br /> upon subm�tta! o€ all required permits, licenses, fees, site map, and insu�ance <br /> documentation. After the Permittee's signature is obtained, Parks Recrea ' <br /> and Community Services Department w�11 sign the permit. ' t�on <br /> E. Any misrepresentation in the application or deviation from the final ermi# <br /> condit�ons may result in immediate revocation of the E�en# Permit and haltn of <br /> the event. 9 <br /> F. Issuance of an Event Permit under this chapter does not exempt the Permittee <br /> from, or constitute compliance with: <br /> 1. Local, sfate or €ederal laws regulating service or consumption of food <br /> or alcoholrc beverages, or the erection of temporary structures; and <br /> 2. Any other applicable local, state or federal iaw. <br /> G. Fufly completed applicat�ons shall be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. <br /> Priority will be given fio Redwood City sponsored or co-sponsored e�er�ts <br /> foilowed by events that meet the purpose o# Cour#house Square as defined in <br /> Chapter 33A, Article III. <br /> H. In arder fo preserve the nature of �ourthouse Square as a public p�aza, riorit <br /> will be given to events open to the public as opposed to those in�olving pri ate or <br /> exclusi�e use of the property. <br /> I.
