The Successful Bidder <br />will also furnish the Department of Motor Vehicles with a report of sale, smog certificate, the <br />City’s exempt registration form (Reg. 217) and all other needed paperwork on behalf of the city. <br /> <br />15. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT <br /> <br />The Bidder shall prepare all articles and materials for shipment in such a manner as to protect them <br />from damage in transit, and shall be responsible for and repair all damaged parts or replace all <br />losses incurred in transit to the designated delivery point and not later than the specified delivery <br />date. When necessary, heavy parts shall be mounted on skids or crated, and all articles or materials <br />that might otherwise be lost shall be boxed or wired in bundles. All articles shall be plainly marked <br />for identification and destination. The Bidder shall prepare proper commercial bills of lading, two <br />(2) copies of which, together with a complete shipping list, shall be sent to City of Redwood City <br />Fleet Division, 1400 Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063. <br /> <br />16. SHIPPING WEIGHT <br /> <br />Each Bidder shall state in his or her proposal the total shipping weight, listing and segregating the <br />individual unit weights and shipping weights, if F.O.B. point of shipment. <br /> <br />17. DELIVERIES; DISTANCE; EXTENSION OF TIME <br /> <br />"Delivery" is defined as complete delivery of equipment, materials, vehicles or supplies free and <br />clear from any and all claims, debts, or demands whatsoever to the City of Redwood City Fleet <br />Division, 1400 Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063. <br /> <br />The Bidder’s bid submission will specify the maximum number of days until delivery to Redwood <br />City, example: 60 days from the date the city mails the purchase order to the successful Bidder. <br />Date ranges are not allowed, example: 90-120 days from the date the city mails the purchase order <br />to the successful Bidder. <br /> <br />In the event the new vehicle(s) have not been delivered to the City of Redwood City Fleet Division <br />(1400 Broadway Street, Redwood City, CA 94063) within the specified maximum number of days <br />until delivery to Redwood City, the contract between the successful Bidder and the City may be <br />considered null and void. <br /> <br />In the event a successful Bidder fails to provide the vehicle within the time specified and the <br />contract is canceled, the City may enter into an agreement with the next lowest Bidder for delivery <br />of the specified vehicle(s) in this document. <br /> <br />18.
