(doing business as Redwood City PAL Center) <br />to manage the “Purposeful Action, Create and Engage” (PACE) Program for transition-aged youth, <br />covering the time period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, without appropriating any additional funds, <br />with the total contract amount remaining at $855,000. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Children and Youth <br />BACKGROUND <br />On September 15, 2022, the City Council approved an agreement with Redwood City Police Activities <br />League, Inc. (dba Redwood City PAL Center) (“PAL Center”) to implement the Purposeful Action, Create <br />and Engage (PACE) plan. Staff from City of Redwood City, Redwood City Together, and PAL Center worked <br />collaboratively with affected youth and other community stakeholders to co-create a program that would <br />provide positive opportunities for youth to receive learning and employment opportunities. Both <br />engagement efforts highlighted community interest in long term programs, strategies, and policies to <br />frame a more sustainable, equitable, and effective system of after-school programs, entertainment <br />activities, coaching and mentorships and events for transition-aged youth in Redwood City and North Fair <br />Oaks. <br />6.I. - Page 1 of 11 <br />340
