<br />Lower Lateral Replacement Project 2025 Form EX A - SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Location: 1338 Edgewood Road, Redwood City, CA 94062 <br /> <br />General Description: Full lower lateral replacement consisting of approximately 28 linear pipe <br />feet (approximately 22 linear trench feet) of 4-inch diameter sewer pipe and subsequent site <br />restoration. Lateral replacement will occur from the back of the driveway apron to the sewer main <br />connection in the street, including replacement of the saddle. All work will be performed in <br />accordance with the latest City of Redwood City Engineering Standards available on the City’s <br />website at: https://www.redwoodcity.org/departments/community-development-and- <br />transportation/engineering-transportation/engineering/engineering-standards. <br /> <br />Approximate depth at the driveway cleanout is 6 feet and 20 feet depth to top of main in the <br />street. The lateral ties into a 12-inch diameter VCP gravity sewer main. <br /> <br />The street is under the jurisdiction of the County of San Mateo and will need appropriate permits <br />from the County. Information about County permits can be found online at the County’s website: <br />https://www.smcgov.org/publicworks/permits. <br /> <br />Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, and furnishing all labor, <br />equipment, and materials required to perform the work. Contractor shall also request a USA ticket <br />prior to performing work. <br /> <br />Descriptions of Lump Sum Items (listed by Bid item number): <br /> <br />1. Bid Item No. 1 – Mobilization, demobilization, traffic control, construction layout, permits, <br />resident notification, surface restoration, NPDES and other incidentals <br />A. Full compensation for all mobilization consisting of preparatory work and <br />operations, including, but not limited to, those necessary for the movement of <br />personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site, traffic control <br />measures including supplying, maintaining all traffic signs, portable barricades <br />and delineators required, any required flagging costs, as necessary to implement <br />traffic control measures will be considered as included in the lump sum price paid <br />for mobilization, demobilization traffic control, construction layout, notification, <br />NPDES and other incidentals and no separate payment will be made therefore. <br />Attention is directed to Section 7-6.09, “Public Safety”, of the Standard <br />Specifications and Section 1.07, “Access” of these Special Conditions. The <br />Contractor shall cooperate with local authorities relative to handling traffic <br />through the area and shall make his own arrangements relative to keeping the <br />work area clear of parked vehicles. <br />B. Full compensation for notifying residents and businesses surrounding the project, <br />including the placement of barricades, posting signs on construction fence, and <br />14-day advance notice door hangers shall be included as a lump sum price paid <br />for mobilization, demobilization traffic control, construction layout, notification, <br />NPDES and other incidentals. Attention is directed to Section 01250, “Notification <br />of Residents and Businesses” of these Specifications. <br />C. Full compensation for other incidentals related to the completion of this Project, <br />including installation and maintenance of the Project Informational Signs as <br />described in paragraph 1.51 of Section 007301 “Supplementary General <br />Conditions”, shall be included as a lump sum price paid for mobilization, <br />demobilization traffic control, construction layout, notification, NPDES and other <br />incidentals. This work shall include, but is not limited to applying and paying for <br />any permits required for this project, verification and location (pot-hole) of <br />existing utilities in a horizontal and vertical plan, geotechnical investigation,
