REV: 05-08-25 MI <br />The Fire District's services will not include: <br />• Maintaining City medical supplies and equipment except as expressly <br />provided elsewhere in this Agreement; <br />• Monitoring certifications and qualifications of the City's EMTs and paramedics <br />to ensure that they are updated and maintained; <br />• Maintaining records, such as ImageTrend and PSTrax; <br />• Assigning, entering and tracking continuing education; and <br />• Assisting with internal onboarding of EMTs and paramedics. <br />B.The City will perform the following services for the Fire District: <br />• Provide instructors for joint EMS training; <br />• Serve as liaison between the Fire District and the City Fire Department; and <br />• The Training Division will serve as the department DICO representative for the <br />City. <br />C.The Parties agree that the following classes can be provided by a third party: Pre- <br />Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS,) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), <br />Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation <br />(CPR). The Parties further agree that they will share tuition costs for any classes provided <br />by third parties, on a pro-rata basis based on each organization's attendance in the class(es). <br />2. Term. Unless earlier terminated in writing by any one of the Parties pursuant to Section <br />17 below, the term of this Agreement will commence on January 1, 2025, and will continue <br />through June 30, 2027. <br />3. Compensation. The Parties agree that, as between the Fire District and the City, there is <br />an even exchange of services, with no compensation due to either party. The City will pass through <br />to Fire District the compensation City receives from the City of San Carlos for EMS services per <br />the fee schedule below. <br />FY 2024-25 FY 2025-26 FY 2026-27 <br />Fee Flat rate of $25,000 <br />(paid in final two quarterly <br />installments of $6,250) <br />Flat rate of $26,500 (paid <br />in quarterly installments <br />of <br />$6,625) <br />Flat rate of $28,000 (paid in <br />quarterly installments of <br />$7,000) <br />4. Payment. Where payment is warranted as described in Paragraph 3, Compensation, each <br />respective party shall submit invoices as necessary pursuant to this Agreement Payments shall be <br />made within (30) days of receipt of the invoice. <br />5. Employment. City's EMS Captains and Fire District’s MED2 shall not be considered an <br />employee of the other agency for any purpose. <br />A.City's Fire Chief will provide overall supervision of the City's EMS Captains.
