The 2011 Water
System Master Plan recommended improvements for Easter Bowl and Glenloch Water Tanks to mitigate
potential earthquake damage, prevent potable water loss, ensure water availability for suppression of
earthquake induced fires, and enhance water system reliability. The improvements primarily involved
retrofitting the foundation and roof of the Easter Bowl Tank, modifying the Glenloch Tank inlet-outlet pipe
to minimize the risk of earthquake-related damage, and separating the overflow pipe from the ground in
both cases. The Project also included repairs to the existing roof of the Easter Bowl Tank.
6.C. - Page 1 of 6
27
