Page 2 of 6 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />Figure 1: Location Map of Easter Bowl and Glenloch Water Tanks <br />In 2021, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a grant for the Easter Bowl and <br />Glenloch Tanks Seismic Improvement and Roof Repair Project (Project) through the Pre-Disaster <br />Mitigation Competitive Grant Program. Administered by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency <br />Services (Cal-OES), the grant provided $306,584 of federal funds for seismic improvements. <br />In 2024, the City Council awarded construction of the Project to Euro Style Management of Sacramento <br />for their responsive and responsible low bid of $1,727,000. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Construction began in May 2024 and concluded in June 2025. <br />At Easter Bowl Water Tank, the improvements included: <br />• Pipe overflow modifications, welding, testing and painting <br />• New catch basin and drainage modifications <br />• New concrete ring seismic foundation and anchorage <br />• New roof rafters <br />• New tank roof vent and structural support <br />• Interior tank coating <br />• Existing foundation crack sealing <br />• Tank disinfection and bacteriological testing <br /> <br />6.C. - Page 2 of 6 <br />28
