One way the Arts Commission accomplishes this goal is by issuing grants to <br />community nonprofit organizations that support art and cultural activities through criteria developed by <br />the Commission. City funding is allocated through the budget process for these grants. For Fiscal Year <br />2025- 2026 a total of $55,000 is available for large grants (over $1,500). The Commission considered the <br />following priorities in making its funding decisions in 2025: <br />• Projects that celebrate diversity and equity <br />• Projects that are inclusive to all ages and abilities <br />• Projects that engage youth through performing arts, visual arts, and cultural experiences <br />• Projects that span a spectrum of art forms (music, theater, cinema, literature, painting, sculpture, <br />and architecture, etc.) <br />6.E. - Page 1 of 7 <br />71
