D-4 <br />COMPLIANCE <br />WDR CONFORMANCE (AREAS OF CONCERN): <br />To improve compliance, the City should address each of the following Areas of Concern (AOC) <br />revealed during the Audit prior to comple[ng its 2025 SSMP Update (see Appendix 1). <br />q Underdeveloped lower sewer lateral maintenance program. <br />q Improve force main cleaning program. <br />q Improve maintenance in downtown area including smaller pipes. <br />q Improve iden[fica[on of all cri[cal/spare parts and backup parts/equipment including <br />having "shelf-ready" components such as ultrasonic transducers, fuses, capacitors, etc. to <br />ensure readiness for spills. <br />q Improve audi[ng and Q/A of work orders in system to ensure no open work orders not <br />addressed for extended [me periods. <br />q Assess element narra[ve and improve as necessary for 2025 SSMP Update <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTATION <br />q Address WDR Conformance above to improve current SSMP implementa[on deficiencies. <br />EFFECTIVENESS <br />WDR RECOMMENDATION <br />To measure effec[veness and ensure alignment with available industry standard guidance, the City <br />should check/verify the following data for inclusion in its next required SSMP update: <br />q Were all map updates completed in a [mely manner? <br />q Are staff trained to provide map update informa[on? <br />q Are newly installed assets incorporated into maps? <br />q Are City maintenance and opera[ons work orders periodically reviewed for completeness? <br />q Does the City monitor “open” or “overdue” work orders? <br />q Are inspec[on and maintenance ac[vi[es reducing the number and volume of spills? <br />q Is maintenance work being completed as scheduled? <br />q Are inspec[ons of pipes, manholes, and lip sta[ons completed? <br />q Does the City have a proac[ve root control program? <br />q Has all training been completed as scheduled? <br />q Have consistent training records been maintained? <br />q Have staff demonstrated ability/knowledge aper training? <br />ATTY/RESO.0077/CC RESO SEWER SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PLAN - EXHIBIT A <br />REV: 07-14-25 LF <br /> <br />Page 193 of 317
