_____________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD/ JUNE 23, 2025 <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES PAGE 8 <br /> <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 69 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Redevelopment Agency resolution adopting the Budget of the Successor Agency <br />for Fiscal Year July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 and providing for the appropriation and <br />expenditure of all sums set forth in said budget. <br />The motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. <br /> <br />8. STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br /> 8.A. City Council appointments to the Police Advisory Committee (209) <br /> <br />City Clerk Yessika Castro gave an overview of the appointment process. <br /> <br />The following members of the public provided comments: <br />• Tito Alvarez <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. By roll call vote, appoint for the following: <br />a. Four full-term seats (4 years) on the Police Advisory Committee expiring <br /> May 31, 2029; <br />b. Three full-term seats (3 years) on the Police Advisory Committee expiring May 31, <br />2028; and <br />2. By motion, use the current applicant pool to fill any additional vacancies on the Police <br />Advisory Committee that may occur between now and January 31, 2026, provided there <br />are at least two qualified applicants for each vacancy for City Council consideration. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br />By roll call vote, the following members were appointed to the Police Advisory <br />Committee for four-year terms ending May 31, 2029: <br />• Austin Baik (Chu, Gee, Howard, Padilla, Sturken, Martínez Saballos) <br />• Christie Chang (Gee, Howard, Padilla, Sturken, Eakin, Martínez Saballos) <br />• Clara Jaeckel (Gee, Sturken, Eakin, Martínez Saballos) <br />• Daniel Torunian (Chu, Gee, Howard, Eakin) <br /> <br />By roll call vote, the following members were appointed to the Police Advisory <br />Committee for three-year terms ending May 31, 2028: <br />• John McMullen (Gee, Howard, Padilla, Eakin, Martínez Saballos) <br />• Joy Magana (Chu, Gee, Padilla, Sturken, Martinez Saballos) <br />• Kathi Petrick (Padilla, Sturken, Eakin, Martínez Saballos) <br />
