REV: 07-08-25 VR <br />Task 6.4 – Completion of Key Environmental Analyses Technical Studies: <br />Consultant to complete the following technical studies anticipated to <br />support regulatory permits and the CEQA and NEPA documents. <br />Additional technical studies may be identified as part of Task 6.0A - <br />Preparation of CEQA Document and NEPA Document. <br />o Existing Conditions Report: Prepare descriptions of existing <br />conditions in the study area as it pertains to each of the <br />environmental topics to be analyzed. <br />o Wetlands Delineation: The EIR/S and future permit applications <br />will require an accurate assessment of impacts to water of the U.S. <br />based upon an accurate map of the existing distribution of waters <br />of the U.S. Therefore, Consultant to delineate the boundaries of <br />wetlands and other waters that are expected to be regulated by <br />the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as waters of the U.S. <br />Consultant to delineate the boundaries of these features according <br />to methodologies outlined in the USACE Wetland Delineation <br />Manual and other USACE guidance. <br />o Cultural Resources Survey Report: For compliance with <br />regulations related to cultural resources, Consultant to complete a <br />Cultural Resources Survey Report suitable for ongoing <br />consultation and coordination with the State Historical <br />Preservation Officer (SHPO). This task will include the surveys, <br />assessments, and documentation required for CEQA/NEPA <br />cultural resource evaluation and Section 106 of the National <br />Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) compliance. The Cultural <br />Resources Survey Report will incorporate the findings of the <br />background research and survey; describe the regulatory <br />framework, the cultural setting, and identified resources; and <br />provide an assessment of the potential for buried archaeological <br />resources. <br />o Biological Assessment Report: To satisfy the EIR/S and future <br />permit applications requirements, a Biological Assessment report <br />will be developed describing biological resources present along <br />the preferred levee footprint and ecological constraints to <br />implementation of the levee improvement project, including the <br />presence of sensitive habitats and an evaluation of the potential for <br />rare, threatened, or endangered species of flora and/or fauna to <br />occur along the levee or the project vicinity. The report will also <br />include a preliminary review of biological impacts associated with <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.172/Schaaf and Wheeler Consulting Civil Engineers (Redwood Shores Sea Level Rise Protection) (Page 19 of 36)
