City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Related budgets, assessments, and City Manager’s Report are available for review in the City Clerk’s Office.
FISCAL IMPACT
The District’s finances are separate from the City’s General Fund and are included in the Lido Landscape
District Sub-Program of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Budget. District properties pay 88
percent of the cost of maintaining District landscaping and the City funds 12 percent of the District’s
budget. The City’s share of funding is included in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services
Department’s operating budget for FY 2025-26.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This action is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under California
Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301 (Class 1) because the assessments, if approved, will fund the
repair and maintenance of existing facilities.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
1. The City Council may choose to not levy assessments and supplement the District’s finances with City
funds. This option will decrease funds available to other programs.
2. The City Council may choose to not levy assessments or provide supplemental funding to offset the
assessment amount. With this option, the District may need to reduce landscape maintenance services
within the District. This option conflicts with the City’s maintenance agreement with the District.
ATTACHMENTS
Attachment A – Resolution
7.D. - Page 3 of 5
85
