Page 1 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: August 25, 2025 <br />SUBJECT <br />Authorization of FY 2025/26 annual membership dues to ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve City’s membership with the ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County and authorize <br />the payment of FY 2025/26 annual membership dues in the amount of $40,100. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Housing <br />BACKGROUND <br />The ADU Resource Center is a regional nonprofit organization that provides technical assistance, policy <br />support and outreach services to jurisdictions supporting Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) development. <br />The Center offers a unique combination of resources including housing design templates, homeowner <br />engagement tools, and code compliance expertise not available from any other vendor or consultant in <br />the market. <br />Since 2024, Redwood City has actively collaborated with the ADU Resource Center and neighboring cities <br />to expand ADU production as part of the City’s Housing Element implementation strategy. Continued <br />participation is vital to supporting residents, streamlining permitting, and advancing regional housing <br />goals. <br />7.E. - Page 1 of 9 <br />88
