Page 8 of 19 <br />21418818.2 <br />Attachment A: List of Abbreviations and Definitions <br />Abbreviations <br />BAWSCA – Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency <br />GPCD – gallons per capita per day <br />ISG – Individual Supply Guarantee <br />MGD – million gallons per day <br />RWS – San Francisco Regional Water System <br />SFPUC – San Francisco Public Utilities Commission <br />WSA – Amended and Restated Water Supply Agreement between the City and County of San <br />Francisco and the Wholesale Customers in Alameda, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties <br />WSIP – Water System Improvement Program <br />Definitions <br />Allocation Factor – Each Wholesale Customer's portion of the Overall Wholesale Customer <br />Allocation, expressed as a percent. <br />Base Period – The average of each Wholesale Customer’s two years with the highest volumes <br />of SFPUC purchases from the previous three non-Drought years. <br />BAWSCA Annual Survey – An annual survey of the Wholesale Customers, conducted by <br />BAWSCA, to update key service area information including actual and projections of Wholesale <br />Customer water demand and population. <br />Drought – “[a] water shortage caused by lack of precipitation, as reflected in resolutions of the <br />Commission calling for voluntary or mandatory water rationing based on evaluation of water <br />stored or otherwise available to the Regional Water System, whether or not the Commission <br />declares a water shortage emergency pursuant to Water Code §§ 350 et seq., as amended <br />from time to time." (WSA, Attachment A) <br />Individual Supply Guarantee – “[each] Wholesale Customer’s share of the Supply Assurance, <br />as shown in Attachment C [to the WSA]."
