Page 9 of 19 <br />21418818.2 <br />Regional Water System – “[the] water storage, transmission and treatment system operated by <br />the SFPUC in Tuolumne, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San <br />Francisco counties, including projects constructed under the WSIP, but excluding Direct Retail <br />and Direct Wholesale assets." (WSA, Attachment A) <br />SFPUC Purchases – For the purposes of the Tier 2 Plan, SFPUC Purchases are defined as the <br />volume of water purchased by and delivered to a Wholesale Customer for use within its service <br />area. SFPUC Purchases specifically exclude (1) In-Lieu Water, which is Regional Water <br />System water pursuant to the WSA and the Regional Groundwater Storage and Recovery <br />Project Operating Agreement and (2) Imputed Sales, both defined in the WSA, Attachment A. <br />Supply Assurance – “[the] 184 MGD maximum annual average metered supply of water <br />dedicated by San Francisco to public use in the Wholesale Service Area (not including San <br />Jose and Santa Clara) in the 1984 Agreement and Section 3.01 of this Agreement." (WSA, <br />Attachment A) <br />Tier 1 Plan or Tier 1 Shortage Plan – “[the] Water Shortage Allocation Plan (Attachment H) <br />adopted by the SFPUC and the Wholesale Customers in conjunction with this Agreement [the <br />WSA] describing the method for allocating water between the SFPUC and the Wholesale <br />Customers collectively for shortages of up to 20% of deliveries from the Regional Water <br />System, as amended from time-to-time."
