CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SENIOR PLANNER (Continued) •Evaluate meeting preparation material; prepare agendas for a variety of planning-related committees. •Provide technical guidance to subordinate staff. •Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, other City personnel, and outside agencies. Serve as a liaison to a City board, committee and/or commission . •LeadManage complex projects and lead interdisciplinary teams, including coordinating tasks and schedules materials, facilitating meetings, identifying challengesflagging issues, and meeting established timelines. •Perform tasks with a high degree of independence under supervision of the Community Development Director or designee. •Meet appropriate physical demands necessary for adequate job performance. Education and Experience and Training Guidelines: Any combination of equivalent to experience and education that cwould likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Two Five Four years of responsible experience in the field of city or regional planning. Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in planning or a related field. A Master’s Degree in planning or related field is desirable. License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License. Special Requirements: Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: Ability to work in a standard office environment with some ability to travel to different locations.
