This message was sent from outside your organization.
Dear Honorable City Council Members,
Thank you for taking the time to review my comments/request.
Please include my comments/request in the Council meeting minutes, and please share them
via a reading with the attending public.
My extended family has called Redwood City home for 4 generations, having owned
businesses here and raised our families.
Pertaining to Council Agenda Item 9B, please consider having language in the modified
ordinance stating camping on public lands is detrimental to public health and safety, including,
but not limited to, traffic hazards caused by individuals from unauthorized encampments due
to no legal ingress/egress to said encampments.
The scope should include all public lands within the legal borders or Redwood City.
Public safety should always be the top priority for any seated City Council, and illegal
camping/soliciting/trespassing, is detrimental to public health and safety in every aspect,
including, but not limited to, increases in property crime and acts of violence against innocent,
tax paying residents.
Sincerely,
Mr. Cary Bloomquist
940 Taft Street
