A tower building type “is intended to create <br />slender buildings which maximize access to light and views and minimize shadows and the visual “bulk” <br />of the structure. Open spaces are often provided on top of parking podiums at the base of the building” <br />(DTPP Section 2.7.4.C). The DTPP provides further guidance that towers should not exceed 7,000 sq. ft. on <br />any floor and be sited to maximize solar access.
