WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS <br /> <br />Any Bidder may withdraw his or her bid by written request, addressed to the City <br />contact specified in Section XV, at any time prior to the Bid Submittal Deadline. <br /> <br />SECTION VI. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />City of Redwood City (City) Public Works Services (PWS) Department requires overhead door <br />maintenance services for City owned facilities to be provided on an as-needed basis. Services may <br />include: <br /> Testing door and motor operability <br /> Testing safety edges <br /> Testing remotes and transmitters <br /> <br /> Adjusting limits and chain slack <br /> Adjusting logic board settings and timers <br /> <br /> Adjusting idler pulleys <br /> <br /> Adjusting trolley drive shaft assemblies <br /> <br /> Loosening and tightening motors and chains <br /> <br /> Resetting take-up reels and rollers <br /> <br /> Inspecting drums, cables, bearings, hinges, rollers, and set screws; lubing when necessary <br /> <br />Services shall be provided at the request of the Facilities Superintendent or their designee. <br />Services shall be billed on a time and materials basis. Parts required for maintenance will be billed <br />at cost with a percent mark-up as agreed upon between the City and the successful bidder. <br />Prospective Bidders must be able to provide services Monday through Friday and have the ability <br />to respond to emergency on-site service calls after hours and on weekends, if necessary. Bidders <br />must be able to generate written estimates while on-site and respond to emergency service calls <br />within one hour of receiving notification from the City. This services agreement will be subject to <br />prevailing wage regulations per the Department of Industrial Relations (D.I.R.). The City will <br />provide the awarded contractor with a D.I.R project number for the submission of certified <br />payrolls. <br />8.E. - Page 20 of 41 <br />77
