ATTY/RESO.0095/CC RESO SUPPORT AND AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE (JEFEERSON AVE) <br />REV: 08-29-25 MI <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />the Project and to take any other actions necessary to give effect to this resolution <br />and execute applicable amendments. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council directs staff to submit an application to the San Mateo <br />County Transportation Authority for Measures A and W Highway Program funds for $4 <br />Million for the Jefferson Avenue Traffic Safety Improvement Project. <br /> <br />2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to execute and <br />sign a supplemental agreement and any amendments of the TA’s Primary Grant <br />Agreement with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority to encumber TA <br />Measures A and W Highway Program funds. <br /> <br />3. The City Council commits to the completing the Project, including <br />contributing $400,000 of matching funds needed for the requested Project’s scope of work <br />implementation, if the requested TA funds are awarded. <br /> <br />4. The City Council certifies that any funds awarded by the TA will be used to <br />supplement existing funds for program activities, and will not replace existing funds or <br />resources. <br /> <br />5. The City Council authorizes the City manager, or designee, to take any <br />other actions necessary to give effect to this resolution and execute applicable <br />amendments. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />* * * <br />
